- Chris Glanert- "I was very unhappy with my last daycare provider. I searched and interviewed multiple places before meeting with Desiree Novak. From the first moment I spoke with her on the phone, I knew I was going to have a positive experience. I went in with my infant to meet Ms. Desiree. She was warm, welcoming and loving towards not only my daughter but to me. I felt so much a part of the LPBM "family" and this was just our first meeting. I have been with Ms. Desiree for two years now. My child has had some "struggles" along the way. Ms. Desiree and her staff worked with me to make sure my child was getting the support and care that SHE needed. I love how the staff looks at the needs of each individual child and gives that child what he/she needs. Another huge plus of LPBM is the interaction time the children have with one another. While the children have separate rooms (infant/toddler room and the preschool room), there are many times that the children are all together. My daughter has learned so much by being with the preschoolers. As she gets older, she will learn the patience and caring nature to help "nurture" the little ones. This is an experience most places can not provide! What a VALUABLE experience it is too!!! As an educator myself, I am in awe daily at the amazing things my daughter is learning and how she is becoming an independent and strong little girl. Each child is given that "extra" care that only he/she needs by the staff of LPBM and that is a RARE quality to find. I can't thank LPBM enough for helping me become the parent that I am. You are truly all gems!!!!"- Chris Glanert
- Melissa Szymanski- After having our first son in 2006, my husband and I knew we needed to find childcare for him when I returned back to work. We dreaded it because as most first time parents know, no place would be good enough for our precious new baby. We interviewed and visited many different types of facilities and were instantly comforted when we met Desiree and saw the Little People Big Minds daycare and preschool. I will never forget her telling me upon meeting me that they hold, rock and cuddle the babies as much as possible and they do not let babies just cry, but pick them up to comfort them. That was exactly what we wanted...someone who would act the same way we would at home!! And that is exactly what we found. It is a huge relief to be able to go to work and not worry about the care of our child but to know that someone who genuinely cares and loves our child is taking care of them. Mrs. Desiree and Miss Holly have been part of our children's lives inside and outside of daycare for almost 9 years now. We had 2 more children and there was never a question who we trusted to take care of our prize possessions starting at about 7 weeks old. Our youngest is 1 1/2 so we are fortunate that we will have a few more years of that security that Little People, Big Minds, Miss Holly and Desiree offer to us. It is more than a daycare and preschool....it is a comforting place that our children not only learn but also are hugged, snuggled, loved and nurtured the same way we would do it ourselves at home. Our older 2 children entered school and had a very easy transition. They both excel at letters, numbers, reading, math and social interaction which was built by the preschool program at LPBM. There is an amazing balance of professional, procedure based business yet the fun, energetic, stimulating environment. Communicating with the teachers, staff and Directors at LPBM is AMAZING! They truly work with the parents and communicate effectively and promptly. I would recommend Little People, Big Minds to any parent looking for a fun, safe, creative and LOVING environment with teachers who TRULY love the children they are caring for.
- Laura Schumacher- "When I had my first child, I was so nervous and scared to go back to work. The daycare choices were overwhelming. I knew that I wanted my son and my future daughter to be in a smaller, homelike setting. We were so lucky to find Little People Big Minds. From the moment we met Desiree, we knew she was the perfect fit for our family. She and her staff have been God sent. They truly love my kids and we love them. My son flourished in the preschool program and is now doing great in kindergarten. My daughter is in her last year of preschool/daycare. Desiree Novak has been so instrumental in bringing her out of her shell and helping her learn and grow.I am actually sad that we will soon be out of "daycare stage." I love everyone at LPBM and will miss them terribly. Desiree has become family. I could not have asked for a better place to care for, teach, and love my children. God bless you all!"
- Helena Kobiela- "Our daughter has attended Little People Big Minds for almost two years. She looks forward to every day that she attends and is disappointed when unable to attend. She was very shy prior to attending Little People Big Minds and has since grown into a social butterfly. We look forward to enrolling our younger daughter this year as well. Ms. Desiree and her staff are very approachable and very well suited for helping to shape our children’s young minds. Ms. Desiree goes out of her way to make any accommodations that she can in order to make our family’s preschool experience an awesome one."
- Jacqi Highberger - "There is nothing more difficult than having to trust someone with your new baby, but unfortunately it has to be done sometimes. I was so blessed to have gone to high school with Ms. Dez and seen posts on FB about Little People, Big Minds. I knew right away when I went there to check it out that it was where my baby girl was going to spend her days when I had to work. All of the women that work there are so loving and nurturing to each and every child. My daughter has been there now for just over 2 years and I can't imagine taking her anywhere else. They are all just like a big family!! I find it so cute and touching that each child knows who's mom/dad you are when you walk in the door and direct you to exactly what your child is doing or where they are "Franki is reading in the baby room"!!! And if the quality of care wasn't enough, there is also so much more. Ms. Dez is so understanding when we have had to change our work schedule a few times, she has always worked with us. Payments are so convenient, online or even autopay is an option!! Ms. Dez provides meals and snacks for the children too!! All around a great place to bring your little ones for the best care when you can't be with them yourself!"
- Carrie Varner- "In September 2013, I was forced to switch day care facilities due to a schedule change at my previous provider. I ended my search after meeting with Little People Big Minds. It wasn't until I switched providers, that I realized how un-happy I was with my previous provider. LPBM was a pleasant change for my family. I love the in-home atmosphere while still maintaining the structure of a large facility. My job can be demanding and time off is limited. LPBM has a set rotating staff that guarantees they will never cancel on a scheduled day. You do not get this reliability at other in-home providers. The price is already great but that alone makes it worth every penny. My daughters (ages 2 & 6) love the staff, especially the SCS director, Holly. My kids may not be able to have "Mom" with them all day, but I believe they have the next best thing with LPBM. Thank you Desiree, Holly, and all the staff that care for and love my children".- Carrie Varner.
- Lauren Crespo- "Choosing a daycare for my 8 month old daughter (now 16 months) was hands down the most difficult decision I have yet to make as a new parent. I wrestled for months about the idea of having my baby in daycare and not in the care of our Mom’s every day. Though, I really needed a break from the drive to their homes and also wanted her to be around other children. The minute we met Desiree and Holly, we were instantly comfortable and knew that Little People Big Minds was the place for our most precious being to be cared for. They surely have proved us right over the last eight months! At 16 months old our daughter has a vocabulary that astonishes us every day and the best was when she came home signing the Frozen, “Let It Go” song at 14 months. We had never played that song for her, so we knew it came from what we call “school”. The days our baby girl goes to “school” I ask her, “Are you ready to go to school?” She immediately runs to the door screaming “Schooool! Buh-bye! Schooool! Buh-bye!”. I am so glad we chose Little People Big Minds as I have the comfort knowing that they love my daughter, have her best interest in mind, and that she in turn loves them too! The immensity of love and care you have for all our kids just blows me away! There is certainly nothing better than knowing your child is happy and loved. So for that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"
- Meagan McKenzie- "Our son attends Little People Big Minds Daycare, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the staff, the facility, and the structure of the daily program. Miss Desiree, the owner, welcomed our child and family with open arms as we made the transition to putting our son in a daycare facility. All of the staff are friendly and provide a loving and nurturing “family feel” environment. The facility is clean, organized and provides safe and age appropriate learning activities. We couldn’t be more pleased with Little People Minds. It’s quite a relief knowing your child is in safe hands, while learning and exploring with great teachers and other children. We are glad the program is from ages birth to preschool, so our child can stay at one place and continue to learn and grow in a consistent environment. We will be here long term."
- Mike- "Hi there my name is Michael Ryckeghem. We have been part of LPBM for over six years, we have three boys Ryver, Landon and Tanner ages nine, six and two. Ryver was three when he started going to LPBM Landon was just six months old and Tanner is currently in his second year at this fantastic daycare/ preschool. They absolutely love going to LPBM! This makes me and my wife very comfortable going to work everyday. Her staff is friendly and fantastic with the kids. She runs a tight ship with great social and educational structure. Mrs. Desiree offers child development assessment's and is always communicating what your child is doing everyday! All of the other parents are really courteous and friendly too. They play, they learn, they go on field trips, they make it the best place for kids."
- Jessica Elliott- "After staying home with our son Gavin for three years, it was time for me to step back into the workforce. I was extremely nervous sending him to daycare and now had an eleven month old son too. I reached out to Desiree Novak who we've known for many years and an instant relief came over me. I felt her and the team at LPBM would be the best care for our two little guys. The boys love going to school, seeing their friends and learning new things. It's amazing to see how much they've grown. I couldn't imagine anyone else taking care of my kids and feel blessed that they're in such good hands. Thank you for doing an amazing job shaping our kids lives daily!"
- Corinne Mach- "At 3 months old we had to figure out a plan for are daughters daycare. We looked around, cried at the thought and found Little People Big Minds! Our daughter is now 1 1/2 going on 5 in our eyes, thanks to the care givers. We don't even use that term, they are our extended family and friends that we cherish and we are blessed with! Thank you for all of your help, guidance and warm hearts!
