Teachers are all hired long term. Ongoing Early Childhood training is required of all our teachers.

I have run little people, BIG MINDS Preschool/ daycare since 2001. Before opening little people, BIG MINDS I was a nanny and worked at a daycare. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education. I believe the key to early childhood education is providing children with a comforting and trusting environment while implementing a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and allows for individualized goals. I have taylored our program to provide the social benifits of interacting with peers in large group and centers. While also allowing for very individualized education and goals by our low ratio of students to teachers. I pride myself on providing children with comfort and love of a home based program with the structure and education of a large center.
My favorite aspect of teaching young children is watching them reach new goals and achievements. I love the look in their eyes when they "get it". I love helpiong build their confidence and self worth. I am always amazed at how much information young children absord and acquire in there first few years. I feel very blessed to be part of that experience for so many young children and their families.
On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Mike, since 1999. I have four children: Miranda born in 2000, Nigel born in 2003, Myla born in 2006, and Mariah born in 2010.

Now that I am back home for school, I couldn’t wait to get back to LPBM. I love the kiddos. Being with them and sharing in their wonder of the world makes my days exciting.
